Ocean Abstracts at the Dylan Thomas Coastal Resort. 10th Sept

Set in a beautiful sea-view room at the luxurious Dylan Thomas Coastal Resort in Laugharne, join marine biologist turned artist Natalie Sanders for a relaxed two-hour painting workshop inspired by the colours, movement and textures of the ocean.

This is your invitation to slow down, get creative and spend an evening immersed in the ocean.

Natalie will guide you through working with palette knives, texture paste and acrylic paints, using calming hues of indigo, turquoise and white to capture the movement and energy of the sea. You'll have time to experiment with the materials and techniques before creating your own ocean-inspired abstract on canvas to take home.

There's no need to have painted before. This is a relaxed and welcoming workshop designed for complete beginners as much as those who already enjoy being creative. Natalie will guide you throughout, while giving you plenty of freedom to create a piece that feels completely your own.

Drawing on her background in marine biology and a lifelong connection to the ocean, Natalie weaves a little of the natural world into her workshops too — so expect creativity, conversation and perhaps a few ocean stories along the way.

All materials are provided, including your canvas and apron. At the end of the evening, you'll leave with your own original artwork — and hopefully a little of that feeling of being beside the sea to take home with you.

Mermaid Scales 13th September 2026. Flourish Farm, Saltford

Join marine biologist turned artist, Natalie Sanders, for a 2.5 hour workshop to create your own mermaid scales artwork using texture paints. This is your invitation to slow down, spend time being creative and connecting with our oceans.

Natalie will guide you through techniques with palette knives, texture paste and acrylic paints in calming blue hues to create your own painting inspired by our oceans. After some practice, you will create your own painting on canvas which you can take home that day.

We provide all the materials (canvas, apron and paints) and everything is included in the price.

This is a relaxed and friendly session, ideal for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to spend a few hours playing with paints and learning more about our ocean.

Ocean Abstract Initials with ‘Craft With Clare’

Join me for a relaxed and creative 1.5-hour workshop as part of the wonderful Craft With Clare sessions — workshops run by mums, for mums.

In this session, you’ll create your own ocean-inspired abstract painting using calming coastal tones, palette knives, and expressive layering techniques. You’ll also have the option to personalise your piece by masking out your little one’s initials or name — making it a perfect addition for their bedrooms.

No experience needed and all materials are provided— just come as you are and enjoy a bit of creative time for yourself. Your little ones are very welcome!

Ocean Abstract Workshop at Muse Coffee Shop

This is your invitation to slow down and spend time being creative.

Join me for an introduction to creating an abstract ocean inspired themed piece of art on stretched canvas which you can take home. Using texture paste and acrylic paints in coastal hues, you will build layers, movement and depth to your painting. You will start off with some practice using palette knives and paints and after a break with delicious coffee and cakes, you will move onto your canvas to create your masterpiece.

I’ll guide you through every step and bring plenty of inspiration to help your ideas flow.

No experience needed and all materials are provided— just come as you are and enjoy a bit of creative time for yourself.

I’ll come to you and bring everything needed for the workshop — all materials, guidance and inspiration provided. You bring the drinks… I’ll bring the paint 🌊
